C.O.R.E. Carbine I Details

C.O.R.E Carbine I will introduce you to the tactical application of rifle marksmanship. Course focuses on personal safety, battle sight zero (BZO), rifle marksmanship and handling, transition from rifle to pistol, various shooting positions, and use of cover.

Course includes but not limited to:

  • Demonstrate Safe Gun Handling
  • Demonstrate proper Range Safety Procedures
  • Adhere to, and Respond to Range Commands
  • Demonstrate Tactical Rifle Marksmanship Fundamentals
  • Understand Carbine Nomenclature & Characteristics
  • Understand Operational Cycle
  • Demonstrate Troubleshooting and Immediate Action
  • Demonstrate Assembly & Disassembly
  • Demonstrate Loading & Unloading
  • Demonstrate proper Zeroing procedures
  • Demonstrate Low vs. High Port
  • Demonstrate Combat & Tactical Reloads
  • Demonstrate Standing – Kneeling – Squat – Prone
  • Demonstrate effective Use of Cover
  • Demonstrate various Firing Techniques
  • Demonstrate Multiple Target Engagement
  • Demonstrate proper Target Discrimination practices
  • Demonstrate BSR (Barrel Sight Relationship)
  • Demonstrate proper Transition from Rifle to Pistol
  • Demonstrate tactical prowess during Reality-Based Live Fire Scenario

COURSE LEVEL: Novice to Intermediate

COST: $300
(15% discount to active duty / veteran Law Enforcement, Military, and current NRA Members).

LENGTH: 6-hours

TIME: 0900-1600 (lunch break at 1200)

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:

  • Rifle / Carbine with 3-5 magazines
  • Rifle MUST have Iron Sights (Optical Sights optional, but recommended)
  • Rifle Sling
  • Pistol with Holster, Magazine Pouches, and 2-Magazines
  • Load Bearing Vest, Body Armor with pouches, or Chest Rig
  • Knee and Elbow pads (optional)
  • Weapon cleaning kit (with Oil for guns.)
  • Rain or inclement weather gear
  • Eye and Ear protection (clear and shaded lens are recommended)
  • Water / Snacks / Lunch (We’ll take an hour lunch break around noon)
  • Hat / Gloves (rifles will get hot.)
  • Sunscreen (non-greasy or water resistant recommended)
  • Insect Repellent
  • Spare Batteries for Optics
  • Note Taking Material
  • Black Sharpie Marker (indelible).
  • We recommend you wear comfortable shoes, long pants, and a long sleeve shirt that you don’t mind getting dirty (no open toe shoes or sandals).
  • Outdoor Folding Chair (optional)

AMMUNITION:

  • Rifle: 300-rounds minimum (no M855 or Armor Piercing / Tracer ammunition)
  • Pistol: 50-rounds Ball, no Hollow Points

C.O.R.E. Carbine II Details

C.O.R.E Carbine II begins with a review of Carbine I techniques. This course will build depth to your carbine skillset and will further your tactical knowledge with the employment of various shooting platforms and dynamic movement techniques. Mental conditioning is also stressed. A realistic scenario will conclude this period of instruction and will incorporate all skills taught in C.O.R.E. Carbine I.

C.O.R.E. Carbine III Details

C.O.R.E Carbine III takes you into the night. It will incorporate all skills taught in C.O.R.E. Carbine I and II but will be performed under low and or reduced light shooting conditions. A realistic scenario will conclude this period of instruction.

Course includes but not limited to:

  • Demonstrate Safe Gun Handling
  • Demonstrate proper Range Safety Procedures
  • Adhere to, and Respond to Range Commands
  • Demonstrate Low Light Shooting Techniques without the aid of flashlight
  • Demonstrate Reduce Light Shooting Techniques with the aid of a flashlight
  • Final Training Exercise (FTX)

COURSE LEVEL: Intermediate

COST: $350
(15% discount to active duty / veteran Law Enforcement, Military, and current NRA Members).

LENGTH: 4-hours

TIME: 1700-2200 (dinner break at 1900) – times will be adjusted based on daylight savings

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:

  • Rifle / Carbine with 3-5 magazines
  • Rifle sights (iron or optical or both) MUST be zeroed prior to attending course.
  • Rifle Sling
  • Pistol with Holster, Magazine Pouches, and 3-Magazines
  • Handheld Flashlight (mandatory)
  • Rifle Mounted Light (optional)
  • Load Bearing Vest, Body Armor with pouches, or Chest Rig
  • Knee and Elbow pads (optional)
  • Weapon cleaning kit (with Oil for guns.)
  • Rain or inclement weather gear
  • Eye and Ear protection (clear lens)
  • Water / Snacks / Lunch (We will take an hour dinner break before it gets dark)
  • Hat / Gloves (rifles will get hot.)
