C.O.R.E. Introduction to AK-47

This C.O.R.E. course introduction is designed to teach the basic rifle marksmanship fundamentals with respect to the AK-47.

Course includes, but not limited to:

  • Safety
  • AK-47 Specific Safety Precautions
  • Assembly & Disassembly
  • Load & Unloading
  • Rifle Marksmanship Fundamentals
  • Combat & Tactical Reloads
  • Immediate Action for Malfunctions
  • High vs. Low Ready
  • Standing – Kneeling – Prone
  • Multiple Target Engagement
  • Drill: “Pays to Be a Winner”

COURSE LEVEL: Novice to Intermediate

COST: $250
(15% discount to active duty / veteran Law Enforcement, Military, and current NRA Members).

LENGTH: 4-hours

TIME: 1000-1500 (lunch break at 1200)

EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:

  • AK-47
  • 3x Magazines
  • Chest Carrier or Magazine Pouch
  • Dump Pouch
  • Eye Protection (both shaded and clear)
  • Ear Protection (electronic type recommended)
  • Range Attire; comfortable and durable
  • Footwear; durable with lateral support (no open toe or sandals)
  • Ball cap
  • Knee and Elbow Pads (optional)
  • Rain Jacket
  • Small First Aid or Blow Out Kit
  • Weapon Cleaning Kit
  • Hand Towel
  • Sunscreen
  • Insect Repellant
  • Note Taking Material
  • Permanent Black Marker (Sharpie)
  • Camera
  • Water / Snacks / Electrolytes (we’ll take an hour lunch break at noon)
  • Outdoor Folding Chair (optional)

AMMUNITION:

  • 500 rounds 7.62 x 39 (no armor piercing or tracer rounds)

PREREQUISITE: Basic Handgun/ CCW or equivalent
